An ebonised and Boulle marquetry Bureau Mazarin, inlaid overall with engraved flowers, birds and interlaced strapwork of brown tortoiseshell and brass, the rectangular top with moulded egg-and-dart rim above a pair of narrow drawers, seven further drawers around and behind a kneehole, on eight curved, square tapering legs with sabot endings. Each lock stamped 'Secure Levere'. Mid-19th century. H. 85 cm. W. 135 cm. D. 70 cm.
