An ebonised, parcel gilt and painted chair back settee or hall bench, second quarter 19th century, decorated with fruiting vines within Greek key border and with spindle supports, 86cm high, 193cm wide, 75cm deep

Condition Report:
Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, Refreshing to painted surfaces overall and especially to the parcel gilt areas such as the top of the cresting rail, The seat with old split and crack which appears to have been filled in, there are also numerous indentations to the seat, the upholstered seat (horsehair filled) has a stain to one side - see additional photographs for details, One arm with an old split and plugged repairs, this now appears solid, overall the frame appears solid and stable, Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition
