An enamel stembowl and cover by Maison Alphonse Giroux
Gilt cast bronze and wrought brass, polychrome cloisonné enamel. Shallow bowl with corresponding cover. Four lion mascarons adorn the sides, zoomorphic supports terminating in claw feet. The upper section of the cover and plinth and the outer surface of the bowl decorated with tendrils on turquoise ground after Chinese designs. Engraved "ALPH GIROUX PARIS" on the lid. H 20, diameter 20.3 cm.
