Copper box with vermeil mountings and "Email de Saxe" decor. Cartouche-form box decorated throughout with gilded mythological scenes in landscapes, a cornucopia to the underside, and a vacant shield to the back. French import stamp used since 1893. 2.8 cm x 6.4 cm x 5.3 cm.

The development of this decor is attributed to Christian Friedrich Herold, who worked as an enamel painter in Berlin before being employed in the painting sector of the Meissen porcelain manufactory in 1725.
