A border of finely etched décor with depictions of couples in traditional Renaissance attire. The lid with continuous strips of engraved, gilt copper. The top in openwork, below which remnants of the red textile cover. Movable gilt handle, the key hole with a sliding cover. The mechanism with two latches on an etched base plate, the gilt cover plates engraved. The key of later date. A small repair on the back left, lower corner.
