An exceptional Venetian gilt and enamel quatrefoil glass wine goblet by Salviati, the hand-blown glass moulded into a quatrefoil shape, the stem facet cut, the whole with raised gilded decoration of rococo swags with enamel detailing. Dr Antonio Salviati & C., Venice Circa 1900. These glasses are often attributed to Moser but the pattern is to be found illustrated on "Planche N.1" of an undated Salviati trade catalogue held in the Rakow Library of the Corning Museum of Glass, New York. 16.5 cm high.
