An extensive genealogy of the Afaqi Khwajahs of Kashgaria, in scroll form, copied by Isma'il Bukhari bin Rawzi, Central Asia, late 18th/early 19th Century

Arabic manuscript on beige paper, text written in large naskhi script in black ink, interspersed with numerous gilt discs incorporating the names of the members of the most recent families and tracing them back to Adam, inner borders decorated with illuminated panels and devices in colours and gold and interspersed with names of sufis and imams, one illuminated headpiece in colours and gold, followed by prayers written in neat and elegant naskhi script in black ink
4 m. 64 cm. x 29.5 cm.

The genealogy goes back to the Prophet Adam and thereafter shows the pre-Islamic prophets, the Prophet Muhammad's ancestors, the Prophet Muhammad and his family, the Four Rightly Guided Caliphs, the Shia imams down to the 11th imam, the Qarakhanid ruler Sultan Satuq Bughra Khan (d. 955), and the lineage of the Khwajahs including Khwaja Hidayat Allah Afaq and his son Yahya Khan), down to Hazrat Khwajah Hasan Sahib-Qiran (d. 1730) and his children and grandchildren.

At the bottom in large letters on a gold ground is sura XXXIII, Al-Ahzab, verse 56. Beneath this, the scroll is signed by Isma'il Bukhari ibn Rawzi.
