An intact Bamiyan pottery dish, Afghanistan, 12th century, the well incised through the white slip with central design of knotwork and scrolling vegetal design, the rim with manganese semi-circles, further manganese stripe to centre well, 15.5cm. diam; and another turquoise glazed with incised decoration in the form of petals to interior and a band of knotwork above, 16.5cm. diam.
