An oak three panel coffer, early 18th century, the plain frieze carved with A D initials, 74cm high, 121cm wide, 57cm deepCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, Old cracks and splits, the joints to the two planks to the lid has opened and is now secured by some later supporting timber, the interior candlebox timber is detached and not all present (appears to be missing the lid). Chips and losses to elements of timberSigns of old woodworm and rot to the rear legsThe front rail with two vacant apertures for locks and key holes cut, the lock appears to have been moved at some point the retaining keeper remains to the lid in the new position - the original position with holes to the timber.
