dating: late 18th Century provenance: France, Straight blade of hexagonal section, lenticular first part, engraved with a sun, wind rose, braided bands and floral motifs. Bronze hilt with remains of gilding. Heart-shaped butt-plate, smooth quillons, loop-guard with a dog's head at the ends. Spherical pommel. Wooden grip with copper wire binding. length 99.5 cm.
