dating: Third quarter of the 18th Century provenance: England, Straight, double-edged blade, ribbed in the center through almost all the length, lenticular at the forte, engraved with vases, geometrical motifs and spirals, and with a motto of the Order of the Garter 'Honni Soit Qui Mal Y Pense' in the center on both facets. Traces of gilding. Brass hilt with heart-shaped sword-shell, decorated with spirals in relief. Quillon carved en suite. Guard with a spiral segment in the center. Pommel with spirals. All the hilt with remains of fire-gilding. Grip with silver wire bindings. length 102,5 cm.
