The second time - just after her big break with the movie “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” in 1953 - she married Joe DiMaggio, then America's greatest baseball player. The third time, in 1956, she married the liberal author Arthur Miller, who depicted his cohabitation with Marilyn Monroe in the plays “Death of a Salesman” and “After the Fall”.
