An oversized Italian snaphaunce lock, late 17th century
A mighty piece of steel with a flat cock, a lock plate and a slidable pan cover. On the inside marked "C.O.". Mechanics complete, lock plate with pitted surface. This lock has never been mounted to a gun, as the openings for the mounting screws are still missing. Length 37.1 cm.
