An unheated pink sapphire and diamond oval cluster ring, c.1930,
with a cushion cut pink sapphire, four claw set at the centre. A border of old brilliant cut diamonds, grain and rub set to a white scalloped setting edge, with a rose gold pierced petal gallery, solid chenier shoulders and a plain shank. Tested as approximately 18ct white gold, silver and rose gold. Head 11.15 x 9.80mm, 2.02g.
Accompanied by a laboratory report from Gemological Certification Services, no. 5782-667 dated 09/02/2022 stating natural corundum, pink sapphire. No indication of heating. Origin Sri Lanka. Estimated weight 1.45ct.
