Born in New Orleans to a Greek immigrant family, Anastasia Pelias immersed herself in the local art community and earned a BFA from Newcomb College, Tulane University and MFA from University of New Orleans. A multi-disciplined artist, Pelias creates paintings, works of art on paper, sculptures and environmental installations. In her works, she focuses on the female experience and embraces subjects of love, sex, death and destiny.
