Ancient Bactrian Hand Carved Schist Stone Protective Amulet, 93AP
Miniature antique wearable talisman hand hewn from natural speckled schist metamorphic stone, originating from ancient Bactrian Central Asian cultural sphere. Schist was a prominent carving material in Bactrian antiquity, valued for its workable layered stone texture ideal for miniature portable devotional objects crafted across regional civilizations. A clean drilled suspension aperture pierces the body of the artifact, designed to thread fiber, leather or textile cord for close-body wear as a personal pendant charm. The stone exterior bears heavy natural burial patina, uneven mineral discoloration and subtle surface erosion accumulated over millennia of interment and historical handling, bearing authentic marks of deep antiquity. Small schist talismans occupied an important place within ancient Bactrian spiritual traditions, functioning as intimate sacred objects believed to grant protection, fortune and spiritual harmony to their owner throughout daily life. This genuine ancient Bactrian relic remains entirely unmodified, with no modern cleaning, grinding or refinishing work applied, preserving its primitive hand-carved surface texture and raw natural schist mineral character intact. Size: 1.6cm.
