Ancient Chinese, Tang Dynasty Terracotta Painted Red Pottery Female Polo Player Astride a Galloping Pony, TL test, H- 40 cm. - 40×35×15 cm

Rider only 26 cm. Tang dynasty (618–907) , Chang’an, Shaanxi province, China. It is very rare to find any of these polo players with this pigment (the rider in two colours white, black, and green) and the lively spirited horse covered in a pale red slip (very rare!) - A certificate of authenticity from Becker Antiques (specialist in Chinese pottery since 1969, Amsterdam) will accompany the item. - All items can be bought/sold legally under the cultural patrimony covering The Netherlands and are guaranteed to be as described, or else your money will be refunded. - The result of the thermoluminescence test, is consistent with the dating of the item, Tang dynasty. Sampling of 3 different points. - Extra test: Pre-dose test has been done Pre-dose test confirms old firing without any kind of artificial x-ray treatments! Provenance: Old German private collection, acquired back in the 1980’s. Mr. W. R. . Condition: Wear consisted with the age; some loses to the colour. An exceedingly small restoration to the left arm between the shoulder to the elbow (only reglue the original pieces) Please be advise that all ancient Chinese pottery objects had been buried in tombs and excavated from there.
