Ancient Egypt, Late Period Faience Amulet - 19 mm (No Reserve Price)

These three ancient Egyptian faience amulets from the Late Period, dated 664–332 BC, include iconic representations of Egyptian deities. The central piece may depict the deity Bes, recognizable by his dwarfish figure and protective posture. The amulet on the right probably depicts the jackal god, who is believed to be Anubis, the god of embalming and funerary rites, often depicted as a human with the head of a jackal. Anubis played an essential role in ancient Egyptian mythology, particularly in relation to the afterlife and funerary practices.
