Ancient Egypt, Late Period Limestone Duamutef canopic jar, 37 cm / 6 kg

It is a canopy jar whose lid represents the head of Duamtef, the jackal. The canopic jars were the containers that were placed in the tomb and were used to contain the viscera of the deceased when he was mummified.
