A Bronze Statuette of the goddess Maat, Egypt Third Intermeidate Period (1075-652 B. C.) , 22nd dynasty 4,5 cm high (without tang) / 5,9 cm high (with tang) The squatting goddess Maat wears the wide neck collar, a three-part wig and an Uraeus-snake on her forehead. The Maat feather is missing. Traces of gilding can be seen on the eyes. The canonical pose for Maat is squatting with her hands on her knees, while striding versions are much less common.
