As. t literally translates as "the overseer of the desert / foreign country" and is rare on ushabtis. "The overseer of the necropolis" was responsible for the management of a cemetery. Sematawy "He who unites the two countries" was a local deity of Heracleopolis Magna in the north of Middle Egypt on the west bank near the Fayum.
