Ancient Egyptian Lapis Lazuli Fly Amulet

Circa 1550–1070 BC, New Kingdom
This lapis lazuli amulet takes the form of a fly with intricately detailed wings and body.
Ancient Egyptians commonly wore fly-shaped amulets as protective symbols against disease and misfortune. These amulets were believed to offer spiritual protection and ward off negative influences.
