Ancient Egyptian Scarab for Thutmose III This is an interesting scarab. The scarab is inscribed with “Men-Kheper-Re (Tuthmose III) between two mast-feathers and above a neb-sign. The scarab comes with the wooden display stand (see last picture) . For a cowroid with similar inscription see: H. R. Hall, Catalogue of Egyptian Scarabs, etc. , in the British Museum, Vol. 1; no. 850 Date: Egypt, New Kingdom, ca. 18. Dynasty, ca. 1570 - 1293 B. C. Material: Steatite Size: ca. 1,2 cm Condition: intact Provenance: private collection (Lancashire, United Kingdom) , prior private UK collection, formed before 1960 The authenticity of the item is unconditionally guaranteed.
