This charming stone pendant, characterized by its ovoid form, showcases a representation of a tilapia fish. The fish features incised scales, fins, and a tail. It is pierced longitudinally for suspension.
In ancient Egypt, the Nile River was abundant with various species of fish. The tilapia, depicted on this pendant, held particular significance. Tilapia was not only a staple in the Egyptian diet but also carried symbolic importance.
