Ancient Greek, Archaic Period Bronze Dagger - 260 mm (No Reserve Price)

The Archaic period of Greek history lasted from the 8th century BC to the second Persian invasion of Greece in 480 BC. The period began with a massive increase in the Greek population and a structural revolution that established the Greek city-states, or polis.

The Luristan culture housed the best weapon smiths of that time. But they were also employed by the Greek city states. The highest bidders determined where these masters of arms were employed.

The item is a very nice bronze Greek Era dagger. Length 260mm.

Condition: Very Fine, though edges a little uneven in places; good bronze. The surfaces are a little rough, with light encrustations.

Fantastic and impressive archaeological war relic.
