The anthropocentric concept of Ancient Greece led to the development of parallel arts such as sculpture and architecture. Jewellery was born from the need to embellish the body, to enhance the human figure and its value, to seek beauty through the perfection of forms. This pair of earrings is designed in the shape of a half moon, highlighting the circular shapes with the inclusion of two golden beads on each side of the earring. In addition, it has a complex decorative weave, made with a punch and various assembly techniques. Provenance: English private collection, R. A. , formed 1970-80. /J.
