a) Magna Graecia, South Italy, Campania approx. 4th century B C, height 11 cm Diameter 10 cm Diameter foot 7 cm A considerable skyphos (drinking cup) of elegant, curvy shape, with a clearly set stand ring, just below the edge, two handles are set horizontally, below the stand ring the clay primer was left, otherwise covered with shiny black varnish and a beautiful silver patina. Condition: Composed of several fragments, joined with retouching to the broken edge.
