Attic ceramic statue of Aphrodite or Venus Anadyomene.
Light red clay with largely preserved dark coating.
Slender draped girl figure, standing in contrapposto on a high base. The left leg is slightly bent at the knee and placed backwards. The goddess has raised her hands and is wringing her wet long hair.
Professionally restored from large fragments. All parts are original, without additions. Remnants of the original primer remain on the surface. Overall good condition.
Acquired in 2021 from the Munich antiques trade, previously in a German private collection since around 1970.
