A. , collected in 1970s The olpe is a jar used to take the wine out of a crater and is distinguished from the oenochoe by having more height than width. It also has a smooth profile on its edge compared to the tri-lobed of the oenochoe and a high handle that often rises above the edge. There are numerous examples of black-figured ceramic olpes.
