A fine wheel ceramic skyphos (cup for drinking wine) with an inverted bell-shaped body, a deep basin, a thin, slightly outward curved edge and a pair of handles that form a concave line to the body, all on a penetrated base. The exterior and the interior of the vessel are covered with a rich black glaze except for the areas below the foot, Condition: Composed of six fragments, two small fragments added. Provenance: 1993 from the German art trade, before that German private collection of the 30/50s. Proof of origin at Catawiki.
