Ancient Near Eastern Stone Seal Bead w/ Abstract Motif
Ancient Near East, Middle East, Syria to Northern Iraq, Proto-Literate Period, ca. 3500 to 3000 BCE. A hand carved seal bead, made from a white stone with a round face and perforation through the back for suspension. On the face is an abstract linear swirling pattern that is similar to branches or vines. Included is a clay impression of the seal. Size: 1" Diameter (2.5 cm); 2.625" H (6.7 cm) on included custom stand.
