Ancient Roman Blue-Green Glass Unguent

**First Time At Auction**

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A beautiful and tall, free-blown unguent made from a pale blue-green glass. The vessel has a flat base, a rotund piriform body, a tubular neck, and a near-flat rim. The vessel, near-translucent and with a thick composition, displays several areas of faint rainbow iridescence across the exterior surfaces. A wonderful example! Size: 5" H (12.7 cm).
