A fine Roman bronze antoninianus of Salonina (wife of Gallienus) . The obverse displays the diademed and draped bust of Salonina, facing right on a crescent with the legend, SALONINA AVG. The reverse features the standing image of Venus facing left, holding a helmet in one hand and a vertical sceptre in the other with a shield on the right at her foot. The legend reads VENVS VICTRIX. MS in exergue.
