Ancient Roman Bronze Bronze oil lamp (J. Altounian collection)

Bronze Roman oil lamp. Elegant antique lamp in bronze, resting on a hollow circular foot forming a high cone point that emerges in the tank. It has a reflector in the shape of a bay leaf behind which a holding ring is attached. The spout is elongated, with a curved shape, ending in a large circular mouthpiece. Dating: Roman Empire, circa 1st century AD. Length: 9. 1 cm - width 4,3 cm - Bronze with brown-green patina In perfectly preserved condition - no restoration. Provenance: Famous collection - Joseph Altounian (1890-1954) - many works that are now in the greatest museums of the world passed through his hands.
