Ancient Roman Bronze Bronze oil lamp (J. Altounian collection)

Bronze Roman oil lamp. Elegant antique lamp in bronze, resting on a hollow circular foot forming a high cone point that emerges in the tank. It has a reflector in the shape of a bay leaf behind which a holding ring is attached. The spout is elongated, with a curved shape, ending in a large circular mouthpiece. Dating: Roman Empire, circa 1st century AD. Length: 9. 1 cm - width 4,3 cm - Bronze with brown-green patina In perfectly preserved condition - no restoration. Information regarding the provenance: Acquired on 30 October 2019 in France, from: C. M. R. Auction, N° 109. Provenance: Famous collection - Joseph Altounian (1890-1954) - many works that are now in the greatest museums of the world passed through his hands. The seller can prove that the lot was obtained legally, declaration of provenance seen by Catawiki. Important information: The seller guarantees that he/she is allowed to sell/export this lot.
