In the form of a bust of a youth (Antinoos the favorite and the lover of Hadrian) , with paludamentum draped over left shoulder, luxuriously curling hair framing his face, with almond-shaped, articulated eyes, with a hinged flat lid (detached from the hinges) , suspension loops on either side of the head. A fantastic light green natural patina, minor areas of a iron (brown) deposits, otherwise absolutely fantastic condition for this so atractive and rare piece of an ancient roman art! His beauty was stunning and the emperor even named city of his name, spending much more time with him comparing to his wife the empress Sabina. Antinoös became one of the most famous and important symbols of the male beauty and love in antiquity! Extremely Rare. Size: 9cm.
