Ancient Roman Bronze figurine of a Legions Officer called " Tubicen". The Tubicen, the player of tuba ( Trumpeter) have a different role. He plays the beginning of a attack. He also plays the retreat. Tuba orders seemed to be more global than the orders of a the Cornicen. He wears his full military armor ( Helmet, cuirass and sandals) and is in position of playng of the instrument giving his orders. An sensational and very important bronze figurine which is a perfect example of a realistic portrait and how exactly the legionaire looked like with it uniform for a battle. The position of " Tubicen" was one of the most significant position in the roman legion! Lovely ''emerald'' geen natural patina with some scratches and, slightly corroded left foot (which is a perfect sign for authenticity!) and leg also broken left hand, the Tuba istrument is missing!
