Earrings with Roman carnelian beads in a linked design with pendant. The authentic ancient beads are restrung with modern materials and fittings.
Linking chains to create bracelets or necklaces is one of the oldest jewellery techniques and appeared in various ancient cultures. The oldest example of a chain necklace was found in Babylonia in a royal tomb from around 2500 BC.

Diameter beads: ± 8 mm maximum
Good condition and wearable. The ancient beads are restrung with modern gold-plated spacer beads and fittings. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. See images.
