Ancient Roman Glass Bottle - Unguentarium - Superb!

Circa 1st-3rd century AD
This nice bottle crafted from glass features a piriform lower body that gracefully tapers to a long tubular neck, culminating in an everted and pronounced rim.
Glass production in ancient Rome involved the fusion of sand, soda, and lime to create molten glass. Techniques like mould-blowing and free-blowing were employed to shape a variety of glass products, with glass vessels, such as cups and bowls, being prominent. These vessels served utilitarian purposes, commonly used for storing liquids and other goods.
