Ancient Roman Glass Flask with Twin Handles
Ca. 100-300 AD. A lovely hand-blown yellow glass vase with a near-translucent composition. The vessel is comprised of a slightly concave base with a jagged pontil, an apple-shaped body, a wide, tubular neck, and a rolled lip underneath the unpronounced rim. Twin applied handles flow from the rim to the shoulder. Time has left this piece intact but has added several beautiful patches of rainbow and golden iridescence.
