Two Ionic Marble Capitals circa 1st Century A. D. Carved in relief on the echinus with an egg-and-dart motif flanked by sprigs of honeysuckle, and on the astragal with a bead-and-reel(?) pattern. 20 by 55 and 21 by 57 cm. Condition report Provenance: French private collection, acquired in the 1970s (Drouot Richelieu, Paris, Olivier Lasseron, May 22nd, 2015, no. 49, illus.) Acquired at an important Auction House.
