Ancient Roman Zoomorphic Handle and Lock Ca. 1st - 3rd century AD. (2) Size 3-5/7 inches Length. & 2-1/4 inches length. Both are bronze examples with green patina and fine details. Larger may be a handle, in the form of a reclining dog with perked ears and open mouthed snout. Rather charming. Together with a small lock part in the form of a crouching lion. Right eye and ear worn smooth, else exc. cond. Both are nice. Provenance: Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Feuer, NY., acquired 1970s - 1980s.
