Ancient Romantic Cornucopias (2) - Copper, Wood, Golden Bread - Early 19th century

[ translate ]

Old cornucopias from the early 19th century, made of gold leaf painted wood, preserved in perfect conditions, with some mark of the passage of time in the moulding. The paintings of two characters of the period are painted in oil on a copper board, a technique also used at that time by the great Spanish romantic painter Francisco De Goya. The paintings have no signatures, but they are similar to the copper miniatures painted by the famous Spanish painter of the 19th century. The two dark background characters belong to the nobility; The lady or Maja stands out for her beautiful clothes and luxurious jewels. See in the photos the headdresses and the detail of the garments. They are two very old and well preserved cornucopia paintings, worth of a museum or a collector. Registered shipping and well packed
