Ten Photographs from the Portfolio A Hungarian Memory, 1914, number 13 of an edition of 100 plus seven artist's proofs, published by Hyperion Press, 1980. Signed "A Kertesz" in pencil on the verso of each. Gelatin silver prints, sheet sizes 10 x 8 in. (25.4 x 20.3 cm), matted, unframed.
Condition: Two linen tape hinges on the upper margin to the verso of each photograph, Wandering Violinist with soiling, mold, and cockling to the right edge, extremely gentle band of silver mirroring approximately 1/16 inch along the doorway in Swing.

N.B. The works are presented in the original clamshell box with title page, colophon page, and page with a Hungarian proverb. Titles include Hungarian Landscape Puszta, 1914, Tisza-Szalka July 6, 1924, Wandering Violinist Abony, July 19, 1921, The Swing Esztergom, 1916, Trio Ráczkeve, May 6, 1923, Heavy Burden Esztergom, 1916, Country Accident Esztergom, September 1916, Transport Braila, Rumania, [sic] October 19, 1918, Forced March to the Front between Lonié and Mitulen, Poland July 19, 1915, and Budafok 1919.
