1879. – 1954.
Artist was born in Arukula, Estonia.
1887. – 1896. – Learning at the St. Petersburg’s deaf and dumb school, where show good results in drawing. He was given possibility learning drawing at the Art Favoring School.
1901. – 1909. – As an external student at the St. Petersburg Art Academy. Since 1903. – 1904. Learning at Studio of I. E. Repine and D. Kardovsky.
The Working of independent artist with qualification of artist begins in Russia, in this time he painted Churches at Taganroga and Saratov. At the time of National War (1903. – 1904) he was an artist at the political session of 1. Red mounted army.
1921. – he returned at Estonia.
At time of the Second World War he was evacuate to Ural and at the 1944 returned to Tallinn.

1948. – 70 Year Anniversary exhibition and the graduation of the rich of merits employee.
1979. – 100 year memorial exhibition at the State Art Museum of Tallinn.
Group Exhibitions:
1908 - The Spring Exhibition of Art Academy
1913 – The Russian art exhibition in London.
1922 – The participant at the exhibition „Ars”, Estonia. Artist took actively participation in exhibitions what was organizing at Estonia and foreign states.
He was participant at the Central union of artists in Estonia and member since 1922.
1923 - The member of Estonian artist union
1928 - Achieving of the fund of Visual arts
1935 – The Union of Academia artist of Estonia.
1931 – Russian art exhibition in Tallinn and Russian artist’s exhibition on Pecori and Narva (1933).
Artist took part at all Estonian art exhibitions across borders: Riga (1926), Helsinki, Paris, Luebeck, Köln (1929), Köln, Copenhagen (1930), Moscow (1935), Riga, Kaunas (1937), Roma and Budapest (1939).
He was one from rare artists at Estonia, what given employee as an ones own people.
