Andrew Johnson Document Signed as President

Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 15.5 x 10, July 22, 1865. President Johnson appoints Richard H. Dana, Jr. as "Attorney of the United States for the District of Massachusetts." Crisply signed at the conclusion by President Johnson and countersigned by Secretary of State William H. Seward. The white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. In fine condition, with multiple vertical folds.
