[ translate ]

Andy Warhol
1928 - 1987

Untitled (Four Hearts)
signed and dated 82 (on the reverse)
acrylic, silkscreen ink and diamond dust on canvas
14 by 14 in.
35.6 by 35.6 cm.
Executed in 1982.

Condition Report:
This work is in very good condition overall. There is evidence of light wear and handling to the edges and corners, including hairline craquelure at the pull margins. Under very close inspection, scattered areas at the extreme edges of the canvas appear to have a slightly different sheen. Under very close inspection and raking light, there is a pinpoint translucent drip accretion near the upper center edge. Under ultraviolet light inspection, the aforementioned areas with a slightly different sheen fluoresce darkly and appear to have benefited from light retouching. Also under ultraviolet light inspection, the aforementioned drip accretion as well as a minor area in the upper right of the upper left heart and a minute drip in the lower left fluoresce brightly. Framed.

Framed dimensions: 15 1/2 by 15 3/4 in. (39.4 by 40 cm.)

Provenance:
Kenneth Macke, Minneapolis (acquired in 1995)

Acquired as a gift from the above in 1995 by the present owner
