Anne Carline, British 1862-1945 - A Bouquet of Flowers at Dubrovnik; watercolour and pencil on paper, signed and dated lower right 'A Carline 1933', 20 x 26.3 cm Provenance: with Mrs Lewellin Morgan (according to the label attached to the reverse of the frame); private collection Exhibited: with The Leicester Galleries, London, 'The Carline Family', May-June 1971, no.13 (according to the label attached to the reverse of the frame) Note: the artist was the mother of the artists Sydney, Richard and Hilda Carline, the wife of Sir Stanley Spencer. There is a photograph attached to the back of the frame showing the reverse of the sheet, inscribed with the artist's address.
