Anne Carline, British 1862-1945 - A Bouquet of Flowers at Dubrovnik; watercolour and pencil on paper, signed and dated lower right 'A Carline 1933', 20 x 26.3 cm Provenance: with Mrs Lewellin Morgan (according to the label attached to the reverse of the frame); private collection Exhibited: with The Leicester Galleries, London, 'The Carline Family', May-June 1971, no.13 (according to the label attached to the reverse of the frame) Note: the artist was the mother of the artists Sydney, Richard and Hilda Carline, the wife of Sir Stanley Spencer. There is a photograph attached to the back of the frame showing the reverse of the sheet, inscribed with the artist's address.
The work is framed, glazed and mounted. The sheet has not been examined out of the frame. Slight discoloration with spots of faint foxing across the whole sheet. Overall in good condition.
