Description: Engelmann, the author of the catalogue raisonné of Chodowiecki's prints, writes about this print: "The copy, which is found in almost all collections of enthusiasts as the extremely rare original, is worked after the first impression, without ink tone, and only the work of the etching needle is visible, which, however, is completely different from that of the original. The etching marks, which can be found at the bottom of the original, are completely missing" (Engelmann p. 20, No. 23).
