Antique Framed Photogravure Print of "Nevada Falls, Yosemite Valley" Attributed to Ansel Adams (1902-1984) - This piece is an antique, photogravure print of the Nevada Falls in Yosemite Valley. The print comes from the estate of a very affluent family, who have told us that the piece is an Ansel Adams print. The piece has been framed in a period correct, wooden frame. The piece (including the frame) measures 37.5" x 13.5". Ansel Adams (1902-1984) was an American photographer and environmentalist. Adams is known for his iconic, black and white landscape photographs of the American West, especially Yosemite National Park, such as this piece. Adams helped to develop the "Zone System" as a way to determine proper exposure and adjust the contrast of the final print, and the resulting clarity and depth characterized his photographs.
